Middle Schoolers Dealing ‘Slime’ to Classmates
The lamest new fad: kids selling each other homemade slime

Don’t ask me how, but the other day I had the misfortune of stumbling on the slime craze while browsing Instagram. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m sure I was into some pretty dumb shit as a kid, but at least we didn’t have YouTube to instruct other people on how to do equally stupid crap.
According to The Boston Globe,
Slime is everywhere. If you’re in middle school, you either make it or have it custom-made to your liking. Stores can’t keep the glue essential to making it on their shelves. The Internet has been overrun with video tutorials and how-tos. Instagram alone lists more than 2 million posts with the hashtag #slime.
This shit is no joke. Kids are churning out slime by the pound and dealing it to their classmates and friends. Some of the more enterprising people are selling this stuff on Etsy.
It gets worse. Thousands of videos, tutorials, and IGs of people fondling their slime are permeating the web. I’m not quite sure what the point of these Instagram accounts is, but they seem to be trying to achieve fame through slime.
