Hip-Hop Is Trap(ped.)

One of the Kings (Of Trap Music)

Hip-Hop is in a weird state, Hip-hop has become global/has been global, but
something is happening to “The Game.” The Trap has taken over, for people
who don’t understand what the trap is, let me explain. It’s when you’re
stuck in a place you don’t want to be in, and you have to do “something” to
try and get out, but the same thing that is fueling your income is the same thing that’s keeping you in the area that you’re in. It’s a trap,
and it’s funny that we are promoting so many Trap music and artist
because Hip-Hop is Trap(ped.)

(*Side Bar* Musically, Trap is something entirely different, it’s not the description
listed above, and Trap Music/Instrumental is impressive)

Da Art Of Storytellin’ — Outkast

Da Art of Storytellin’

Growing up, we replicated the “Grinding” beat on table tops, desk, doors, or
any hollow surface that can serve as a bass line to throw down our “hot” 16.
Rap wasn’t just words thrown together rhythmically, it was an
expression, our emotions, we were storytelling, and it was a representation
of where we came from. It was our way of telling people who we are, and
today the water has been saturated with the same story. The fake party addicts have taken over. Instead of figuring out your life story we only know
what you did last night. There are a few artists out there fighting the “mainstream” rappers interpretation of Hip-Hop. In the world where artist cares less about the art and more about the dollars that come with it, left the culture in a state of shock.

How Do We Wake Up?

The Joe Budden Podcast

We are plugging in trying to find the next pop artist or the next great
fad that we are missing what real hip-hop heads have to say about where the culture stands. We have ESPN debate type shows for hip-hop like Everyday Struggle,
we have lyrical analysis and breakdown with objectivity shows like The Joe Budden Podcast, we are finally giving battle rappers recognition, Example: Hitman Holla, Charlie Clips and Conceited on Wildin’ Out, and Jayblac with the show Champion interviewing battle rappers before their event. We need to keep championing these shows; we need people who love the culture
instead of analytic personnel taking over the industry.

Hip-Hop is culture and not a moment.

This culture has a farther reach then anyone can recognize
and instead treating this culture like good value cereal can we please give it the love it deserves.

Thank You for reading, This is my first time doing this (blogging/writing), and its one of many; hopefully, you enjoyed!
