A guy just transcribed 30 years of for-rent ads. Here’s what it taught us about housing prices
Michael Andersen

I didn’t really understand the equation. Is it possible to have a worked sample calculation? For example, all the numbers seem to be multiplied by each other? And then some have two ** signs between them?

The trends also suggest that rent control does not work — any decrease in part of the housing stock seems to be offset by increases in the other parts of the housing stock leading to no change in trend. Or perhaps it is too small to see a change with logarithim scale.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
