Yes yes yes yes! You had me at he/she “is my everything.” I am so tired of hearing that from people only to see the relationship ending and yet the person keeps on living. That other human clearly was not your everything if you’re still able to live. I think it’s also a matter of language at that point — use some thought when using language to describe your feelings about someone. The L-word is basically the last word to leave my mouth until we’re just friends, because using it before that, even if I FEEL it, is just going to cause issues UNLESS the feeling isn’t simply a fleeting reaction to something she said or did.
