Shell & Tube Heat is a most common heat exchanger which is used in the industry. It consists of a bunch of tubes supported by baffles. Baffles are an important part to support the tubes while assembling. Bunch of tubes assembled inside the shell.
Working of Heat Exchanger:-
In given the above figure, there is a bunch of coil inside the shell. In the tube, hot water is running and in the shell, there is cold water. It is counter flow heat exchanger causes the flow of both fluids in a different direction. When hot water in the tube is moving through cold water phases, its heat energy is transferred to the fluid or vice versa. Whatever the water is coming out, it would be hot.
