Proposal 1 – To outsource the Kshitij regionals Kascade to our neighbouring countries, i.e. Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal.

Need – As far as the institute is concerned, there is no imperative need to expand Kshitij to the rest of the Indian subcontinent. The benefactors of this proposal are mainly the participating international students as ours is a premier institute that should look towards the crème de la crème of institutes the world over.

Feasibility – The prospective budget cited by this proposal is reasonable especially once you take into account the fact that Kshitij plans on getting additional sponsors for it. Concerned authorities have readily agreed to help host the proposed events in their respective regions, so feasibility is not an issue.

Impact – The objective of this proposal is to expand Kshitij into international territory, and the benefits cited include better connections with institutes in the concerned countries which will eventually lead to opportunities for our students to work in these countries as students or otherwise. However, this begs the question – how many of us are really excited about going on a semester away program to Bangladesh?

Proposal 2 – To introduce a new event in the Tech GC regarding marketing campaigns for government policies.

Need – There is absolutely no need of such an event. There already exist events relating to marketing campaigns such as Ad Design and Case Study which can fulfil the objective of this proposal given an appropriate problem statement.

Feasibility - The proposed publicity our institute will get has not been corroborated. For instance, a GC event is isolated within the institute and does not really influence any bodies outside campus. The proposal has not mentioned any details of how the benefits of this proposed event are supposed to reach the government. It does not seem very feasible owing to a stark lack of details regarding the implementation of the same.

Impact - The objective of this proposal is to contribute to society. However, the event does not involve identifying and solving a social problem. Nor is there any mention of how to communicate the relevant information to the concerned authorities and bodies.

Proposal 3 – To conduct an Open School Championship in Kshitij 2018 with events involving mental aptitude, logic and dexterity to exercise combination and coordination skills.

Need - Considering the abundance of open school championships (Olympiads, NTSE, etc.) this objective caters to a saturated platform. Adding to it, there will be no actual benefit to Kshitij and the Institution on its implementation.

Feasibility – Feasibility is not much of an issue considering the expenses of the events will be covered by corporate or school sponsorship. The problem lies with the vague nature of the proposal. It fails to guarantee the authenticity of the sponsorships. While it can be managed during the initial stages, issues will arise without a doubt in the management and proper conduction of exams across multiple cities owing to the limited workforce of Kshitij.

Impact - IITs already have a reputation among class 11th and 12th students. Open School Championship will do nothing much to increase it.
