Today the Moon is in its first quarter. It is on this precise night where, from the first steps that lead to the entrance of our home, I am able to contemplate these first blocks that have been placed. Blocks that will remain in the eternity of the blockchain. An eternity in which those of you who read me now or read me when time was past are participants.

Metaverse

The bases of our proposal in the Shiba Metaverse Inu, have already begun to develop. Soon you will be able to see the first progress of the educational laboratories that we are developing. The expansion of the Thesirion White Paper and these developments will begin to take shape in the first days of Q2 of this year.
These proposals and ideas, among which as a decentralized creative agency we have as assignments, are being worked on and contemplated by our work team, clients and our frens in the Metaverse of Shiba Inu.
We understand the Metaverse (and new tools) as a vast expansion of the ecosystem in ways that we are not even able to understand yet. Today, user access to a metaverse developed with the technological features of development engines such as Unreal5 is usually expensive for the user. We must remember the beginnings of user computers or the beginning of mobile telephony to remember that, in the beginning, everything is more restricted, since access is really built based on the idea and advances in technology.
But perhaps a solution has been found… for everything.
Researchers from the University of California Riverside (UCR), in the United States, recently presented at the 56th Annual IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Microarchitecture in Toronto, an innovative technological solution that promises to double the processing speed of computers, phones and smart watches, among other devices, while improving their operating efficiency and reducing energy consumption.
But the most important thing is that progress would be achieved without the need to make modifications to the hardware or changes to the models: any equipment that is relatively updated in terms of technical performance would benefit from a considerable improvement in its operation. All that is needed is the application of a new scheme of software algorithms, which, being more “intelligent”, make better use of the available resources.
This new system, called SHMT (simultaneous and heterogeneous multiple threads), is based on the fact that mobile phones, computers and other modern devices generally depend on more than one processor to carry out their tasks.
Processors are the “brains” that manage the hardware of modern devices, usually through a combination of several of them working together, but specialized in different tasks: the central processing unit (CPU), another processor for visual environments called the graphics processing unit (GPU), and even a third one for machine learning called the tensor processing unit (TPU).
The use of specialized processors has broad advantages, because they can be designed for specific tasks. For example, executing the code to launch a spreadsheet program is not done in the same way as a generative AI text bot. Because of these differences, today’s computers use a multi-processor system and not a single processor.
In the new study, specialists explain that entrenched programming models focus on using only the most efficient processing units for each region of code, underutilizing or wasting processing power within heterogeneous computers. With the new software algorithm system, this capability could be fully utilized.
“Although the development is still in the testing phase, the experimental setup presented by the researchers shows great potential. Applying the new scheme on an ARM Cortex-A57 CPU, an Nvidia GPU, and a Google Edge TPU, the execution of the sample code was 1.95 times faster than without using the SHMT system, while power usage was reduced by 51 percent.”
With this advance, access and user experience to computing utilities, web3, metaverse and blockchain development, opens a fundamental path for an expansion in the mass adoption of the technology on which Thesirion is based.
