Moon Knight looking out over the living room

Today we are looking at the Marvel Legends Moon Knight from the Spiderman Homecoming Vulture BAF wave that came out not too long ago. This is a 6 inch figure with killer articulation and a striking design. This was a figure I was hunting for awhile before picking up. I love this design and it comes with a surprising set of accessories for $20 USD.

The Detail

The detail on this guy is pretty solid. Some shading could have looked good but isn’t really necessary for this guy. Part of the appeal is the simple, crisp design on this guy. One of the finer points on this figure is the mask. The mask has the usual pull marks around his nose and mouth.

A really nice face sculpt for not having a face

The eyes also come off very nice with a blue and white paint job. Outside of that though there isn’t much to say, it’s a really nice clean design.

The Accessories

This is one of the kickers for this figure. He comes with some really cool new stuff that is just for him.

First he has his large crescent moon blade. It slides into his open hand really easy and does not fall out.

Hope he has finger insurance like Eric Clapton

Next we have his three smaller crescent moon daggers that can port into his fist hands for claws or a throwing star type set up. I really dig getting good multipurpose hands, i wish Hasbro would do more of this. Although the effect for Bullseye was cool, it would have been nice to make the knives detachable and be able to pop the into the hands like this.

I bet he is jealous of Wolverine
Neat little ports for the knives

Lastly, other then the open hands and closed fist hands, is the set of Daredevil batons that form his”staff”. This is by far the least impressive accessory and kind of a disappointment. Hasbro does make up for it with the cool moon stuff though.

All the extras

*These are not packaged with the figure, just things I had laying around*

He also works well with other lines accessories. Below he is posed with the Arkham Robin bowstaff, The Black Series Rey staff and the Funko Legacy Ned Stark’s sword Ice (The bigger one)

He’s like Tim Drake but 100% cooler
In a way the force is with Moon Knight
Now he’s a real knight

The Articulation

Going top to bottom

  • The head doesn’t move alot sadly, the cape and the hood hinder the heads movement.
  • The shoulders are nice but the shoulder armor gets cut into by the body.
  • The elbows are double jointed and go a bit over 90 degrees.
  • The wrists tilt up and down on the open hands and the fists go side to side.
  • The fists also have 3 little ports for the little moon daggers
  • The ab crunch is pretty solid even with the cape on
  • The legs go out pretty far at the hips and have a swivel on the upper thigh.
  • The knees are double jointed
  • The feet hinge nicely forward and backward, plus a sweet ankle rocker and twisty motion

For a visual I have linked to The Deets on my Youtube channel.

Pose Ability

With a pretty good amount of usable articulation, Moon Knight can get into some dynamic poses. The cape helps a ton. Although it is a soft plastic and not actual soft goods it is crafted to look dynamic and plays well with static/resting poses and action packed poses.

Spiderman UK hates when Moon Knight plays King Arthur

Value

For $20 USD, this guy is a deal. The accessories, articulation and design are well worth the price for this guy even for people who don’t know who Moon Knight is.

Comparisons

For comparisons I grabbed a lot of different figures. I can’t help it, I love taking pictures of this guy. Below I have the Marvel Legends All New All Different Spiderman, The Marvel Legends Netfilx Dardevil, the Marvel Legends Netflix Punisher, the Sh Figuarts Antman, The Mafex BVS Batman, the Black Series Kylo Ren, The Funko Legacy Ned Stark and lastly the Marvel Legends Spidey UK.

Does Spiderman even lift bro?
Daredevil wishes he could see Moon Knights rad cape
He brought a knife to a gun fight
This would be an interesting buddy cop movie
Who’s cape is better?
Is this the dark side of the moon Pink Floyd talked about?
Stole his sword, now he’s sad.
My two favorites currently.

Final Thoughts

I have got to say I had high expectations for this figure and it exceeded all of them. The shoulder armor and head are disappointing but not enough for it to really draw away from the super cool parts of this figure. I would say for any Marvel Legends this is a must buy, for Moon Knight fans this is a must have.

A billion thumbs up.

Thank you for reading,

Cody
