Absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much for writing this. You shined sunlight on an issue I’ve struggled with. The level of shame in having normal sexual feelings as a man is enormous, and the shame in expressing them can be projected on to a partner in a debilitating way. The worst is if I try expressing myself and get told that I’m being ”like all men” or “acting like a horny boy” then it all shuts down and that shame gets thrown at the woman. I have been fortunate to recently find someone that has allowed me to stop being ashamed for the behavior of all men and feeling guilty by association and just find my own sexuality with her. But it can be an immovable wall at times.
