At my very core, I am an artist in all areas of my life. I love connecting with others through my art, stories, and poetry. I want to empower others to see that it is not just about the end destination. It is about the journey we take to get there and the person we become along the way. Since I was just a young girl, creative expression, whether through drawing, journaling, writing stories, or writing poetry, has been a part of who I am. My creativity has been a safety net to help me find a ray of sunshine to fill my darkest hours with comfort, compassion, friendship, laughter, and a beacon of hope. I have long since discovered the power of art, poetry, and storytelling to bring people from all walks of life together. Writing has always been an outlet for the words that I can’t bring myself to say, a safe place to shed and work through my many layers of emotions. Drawing has always provided me with a way to bring joy not only into my own life but into the lives of others. Story writing has given me the freedom and ability to create space for the things I need more of in my life, like excitement, adventure, hope, joy, or escape from a difficult situation. Writing for me is that same refreshing mental break that we get from watching a funny movie or reading a good book. Except, I get to create the environment and choose what happens next in the situation. Writing empowers me to cultivate the courage and confidence I need to believe in myself and all the possibilities the world holds in store for me. My art and writing are transformative tools that continue to support me in my personal growth and development. The ability to express ourselves creatively is a powerful tool available to all of us. My writing and art provide me with the opportunity to empower and inspire others. There have been so many beautiful souls who have touched my life, helping me to shine brighter in the world every day. I want to put more light out into the world with my creative superpowers. It is my mission to move others through my art and writing. I want to inspire them to believe in themselves and shine their beautiful light out into the world. When we do the things we feel called to do, the things that light us up, we cannot help but shine. The energy that we put off is magnetic; it is contagious in the most sublime way!
