It’s a thought, but: $2000 for a broken leg is an unexpected expense.

I’m not talking about the people like myself who make close to six figures a year. We can afford to pay taxes. I’m talking about people who make $8 to $15 to $20 an hour and have kids and debt. I live below one who works her ass off and she can’t pay her bills now. SHE can’t afford to pay more taxes, and that’s the boat half the country is in. People need to think about that. Taxes aren’t a one-time unexpected expense.

This is why those who make six figures and up need to foot most of the tax bill in this country. They’re the ones who get the most benefit of living here, and they’re the only ones who can afford it.
