As and Angels fan, I will always be embarrassed by the front office’s handling of Josh Hamilton and their lack of understanding for what he needed in a “sober companion” (that’s a real job, for those of you unaware) and a positive, stay-out-of-trouble environment. Not only did they fail him at a human level, the optics of letting him go and acting as if HE were the embarrassment showed a complete lack of class and total uninterested view of handling addiction and recovery. … we deserve to suck ass right now.
