‘Mr. Robot’ Finally Shows Its Hand

This episode made anything David Lynch has ever done, and yes, that includes “Inland Empire,” look like it seemingly makes sense. Having said that, I loved every minute of it. The fact that Mr. Robot airs on “feel good’ USA instead of “challenging” AMC makes it even more special (and a good quality move by USA Network). Portia Doubleday is KILLING IT WITH HER UNDER-ACTING, and I’m so curious now why she’s straight-arming the government in favor of B.D. Wong’s “Madam Butterfly” redux.

This is one of those shows that to be sure, has shed lightweights (ratings drop), but continues to be gutsy for those of us willing to stick around for the terrific payoff, which I have no doubt is coming. Plus … you know Dom will rise in some terrific way.
