The Rebel Revenue Machine
The world runs on systems, it is what has allowed civilization to expand at a rate over the last 150 years that runs laps around the previous 1500 years. The systems developed are at the core of innovation. Everything from seemingly simple pulley systems powering manufacturing output growth to much more complex engines and highway systems allowing for mass transportation.
Rebel System 1: Noodle Shop™
commerce system built to validate trust between two parties for both payment and agreement criteria.
The purpose of Noodle Shop™ is simple, The Tokyo Rebels are in the midst of rebuilding our civilization. We were brought to our breaking point by our former leaders and left with nothing but piles of wreckage to sift through in hopes of survival.
The one glimmer of hope we have is that we can mold our newly found freedom into something to be proud of. Taking control of the things that used to control us. Noodle Shop is part of that process.
What is the purpose? The purpose is to allow for simple service and good transactions with verifiable funds and agreements. For example, if you are an exceptional resume writer you can easily post your services. Consumers can interact with your post and request the service. Once an agreement is formed both parties can sign and validate its contents. The purchasing party will then send the funds or an agreed % to the escrow service for proof of funds holding. Upon work completion, the purchasing party can validate the delivery and approve the transaction, the funds can then be automatically dispersed.

What is our goal with this system?
Our goal is to create the foundational functions of a commerce system that can be expanded in many directions. One where the system itself serves as the custodian and the ability to transact in a safe and reliable manner is affordable.
Why will it benefit The Tokyo Rebels?
This will benefit both the project as a whole and our holders directly. Each time a transaction took place a small fee would be passed back to the project thus generating revenue for operations and other initiatives. For our holders, they would be granted discounts and rewards for using Noodle Shop™ as a place of commerce. This inherently gives each Rebel additional value both as an asset and as a tool for commerce.
What happens when two parties don’t agree?
When two parties don’t agree they would have the ability to work out a solution and then adjust or finalize the agreement or they can enter an arbitration workflow where a resolution or cancellation of the agreement can take place.
Here is an example:
In the agreement between the two parties for website development, there was a deliverable for the website to be mobile-friendly. On testing, the purchaser noticed that some pages were not built for this.
The seller claimed that it was still functional and therefore had met the deliverable. After some back and forth both decided they wanted an independent arbiter to review the case.
The arbiter(s) would then proceed to speak with both parties and review the deliverables. The arbiter would then propose a solution for both parties to sign off on. It could be anything from a reduction in price to a refined scope. In this case, the arbiter ruled that the deliverables were not met and the pages must be adapted to not only be functional but perfectly viewable on mobile. It would now be in the seller's court to make the changes and resubmit for approval.
So what is the vision, how does this expand, and does something like it already exist?
Is the system unique? Not exactly, there are others that are similar of course but ours intends to be simple and transferrable. A craigslist of web3 if you want a very general description. A system that allows us to utilize different experiences for different users. A system that is agnostic to how the selling party and purchasing party wish to operate. Let me paint a picture:
Purchasing Party
My name is Jane Doe and have no idea what crypto is, let alone NFTs. I am a very basic internet user but am looking for help building a website for my hand-made ornament business. I am comfortable using credit cards online and that’s about it.
Selling Party
My name is Claire White and I design and create professional websites, outside of this example my online presence is 100% anonymous. My preferred payment method will always be BTC as I am constantly moving around the world exploring.
Typically these two parties would never have the ability to work together as their means of doing business and understanding of currency is just very different. Trying to adapt and educate one to the other is nearly impossible, so what can be done? Noodle shop’s systems would have a front-end that is designed for Jane. One that feels familiar with other website interactions that she has had. Agreements would automatically be converted into her choice of currency. For Claire even though the purchasing party paid with a credit card, those funds would be swapped into BTC for the selling party.
1.9.23 Project Update
As the project progresses we will post additional details here. As always functions are subject to change as we make more granular decisions during implementation.
Our main focus now is the foundational contracts and architecture. These will inevitably drive our ability to expand the system's functionality and use cases in the future. Our goal would be to host and process our first transactions in 2023 with a focus on supporting web3 currencies to start. As the project gains momentum and we are able to onboard more users we will begin to focus on adding features to expand our reach.
