There are 3 major types of influencers

Macro influencers

Macro influencers are mega influencers. These influencers usually have tens of thousands or millions of followers on their social media platforms. They may be considered as “celebrities” in their industry. They are usually major bloggers with million readerships, editors, social media influencers, etc

Skill-based influencers

These are skill-based influencers like photographers, DJs, celebrity artists and actors, make-up artists, etc who have developed their influence based on their talent.

These influencers have build a tribe of people who follow them because they like their works and are interested in their skill. Brands in that same industry would be willing to work with these kinds of influencers.

Micro influencers

Micro influencers are everyday people. Most of the time they have less than 10,000 followers. However, they have influence on their own platforms and can get family, friends and their social media audience to take action through their influence.

Based on the three types above: what type of influencer are you or do you want to be?
