Come feast your eyes on the largest city in Malaysia, the capital and the Klang Valley in the Asian continent, Kuala Lumpur is most definitely a city to see. Let’s review some of the highlights of this amazingly scenic country boasting 1.7 million people, also known as the “muddy landing place”.
Petronas Twin Towers
Designed by Argentine-born America Cesar Parelli, the Petronas Twin Towers are amongst the tallest skyscrapers in the world.
Taller than the Sears Tower in Chicago, the columns of Petronas are made of concrete versus steel, eclipsing traditional architecture of other buildings of similar stature.
Comprising of a tour, a restaurant, and much more to see, the Petronas Towers are a must-see on your next visit to Malaysia.
Perdana Botanical Garden
Built in 1888, the Perdana Gardens were originally known as the Lake Gardens. In 1975, the second Prime Minister of Malaysia renamed the park and relaunched it with a focus on the trails and the exercise routes that were readily available to the public.
Concerts, fishing competitions, and much more have been held at these parks over the years. The garden is very well known for having the aspects of a botanical garden, the looks of a tropical rainforest, and feel of a getaway, all in the middle of a metropolitan area.

Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia
Housing 12 full galleries in regards to Islamic history, the Islamic Arts Museum is most definitely something to see.
There are always exhibits to see, as well as traveling exhibitions, and even cooperations from around the world that are worthy of checking out on your next visit.
Complete with a Children’s Library and a Scholar’s Library for you to dive deeper into any subject of your choice, this museum is a true compendium of human knowledge and history in the Eastern World.
Thean Hou Temple
Built by the Hainanese in order to appease the Goddess of Thean Hou, the temple officially opened on September 3rd, 1989.
Comprising of four levels, the temple is adorned with beautifully sculpted dragons, this most scenic work of art sits atop the Robson Hill.
The top floor is where religious and sacred observations are commonly held, and the other floors contain a banquet hall, where Chinese dinners are commonly held, and a food court.
Sri Mahamariamman Temple
The oldest Hindu temple in Kuala Lumpur, the Sri Mahamariamman is also the richest Hindu temple there is.
It houses the deity Mariamman, whom Indians especially worship, as she overseas them during long treks to foreign lands.
The gopuram, the 5-tiered tower, is the most impressive feature the temple is known for, and the tallest structure within the temple itself.
This temple is especially popular during Deepavali, where people offer their prayers on this holy day.
