Marriott and SPG: Official Update

Well, it’s official.

As of Friday night, it was officially announced both through an email from Marriott International directly and social media outlets that the merger between Marriott International and SPG Hotels & Resorts has been approved by both parties’ shareholders and boards.

So, what does this mean for you?

As of now, no official announcements have been made with any updates or changes.

In the email that Marriott sent, they assured that they realize that SPG has a leading loyalty program and that they want to make sure everyone realizes that they intend to uphold the integrity of SPGs loyalty program.

They also hinted that they hope to take the best of what SPG offers and hopefully implement it into the Marriott loyalty program as well.
