The legendary choreographer tested negative for coronavirus according to her daughter. Earlier Saroj Khan’s daughter Sukyna Khan informed that her mother was having breathing issues due to the cold. She also added that her mother will be discharged from hospital in two to three days.

The veteran choreographer’s health deteriorated in ICU on Thursday night. She took her last breath around 2:30 am on Friday. “She passed away due to cardiac arrest at around 2.30 am at the hospital,” informs Saroj Khan’s nephew, Manish Jagwani.

Saroj Khan’s Legendary Career

Saroj Khan’s journey in Bollywood spans for over four decades. The ace choreographer has choreographed more than 2000 songs during her inspiring career. Saroj Khan began her career as a background dancer at the age of three. She made her debut as an independent choreographer with Geeta Mera Naam in 1974.

Saroj Khan became famous with the song “Hawa Hawai” from Mr. India in 1987. Her other projects with Sri Devi like Chandani and Nagina gave a boost to her career. However, Saroj Khan’s collaboration with Madhuri Dixit was the transforming point of both the artist’s career.

Beginning with “Ek Do Teen” song from Tezzab both Madhuri Dixit and Saroj Khan earned a lot of fame. Following this, Saroj Khan-Madhuri Dixit’s pair gave a lot of memorable dance numbers. These include “Tamma Tamma Loge” (Thanedar), “Humko Aaj Kal Hai Intezaar” (Sailaab) and “Dhak Dhak Karne Laga” (Beta).
