My Star

By Zach Litherland

Through a telescope I saw

A star bright as the sun

Whose beauty compares to none,

As it left me in awe.

This star was bright as the sun,

But closer than ever.

It wanted to leave,

So it found somewhere better.

It never came back,

Not even once.

It made my heart black

For when the star left it took the color.

Yet I put my smile on,

Forever praying

That it shall come back at dawn,

So my heart can once again be blazing.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
