Are we ready to be aware that the mass production of something is one step to destroying the world as a whole? Have you walked into a mall, seen so many clothes hanging on the clothesline and wondered, what happens if they don’t sell out?

Not only that, but also, have you questioned about your closet? How many clothes have you been storing inside, and how many do you regularly and actually use on a daily basis? I’ll give you 30 seconds to figure out the number, and that is a waste of time for you to actually follow my request because it’s endless.

You eat too much you become a pig, then you get sad because your husband doesn’t recognise you ever again, so you lose some weight, during those transitions, they force you to buy new size clothes because the old ones aren’t for your new body. And what the heck does it mean about all these? It’s simply dark humour to shake more salt in your wounds than reality as of now, we are following the trends that change every single day.

Isn’t it good to wear a granny’s dress as one of the heritages she has left for you instead of modern charming and fast-food clothes? These days, clothes are emotionless, cold, and just nothing because they are mass-produced. The only real and high energy are those that are handmade for a few amount, but the world is yet for a single person but the other 8 billion and they are equally right to wear anything.

There comes my special term, the fast-food industry. Not only in the food industry but also we got this term deployed in the clothes industry as well. Mass production is messy and soulless. Imagine, how many clothing stores I have seen in a morning market in Thailand. Many with each store stocks even more than enough clothes. No judgment, even my sister has more clothes than your whole house could manage to store them all.

But yes, without demands, there is no present we have been experiencing. Without demands, we wouldn’t have these many options, prices, and many clothes to choose. But the real question is still there. How do they manage the unchosen ones? What do they do with the leftover, old-fashioned, out-of-trend, granny and grampy’s clothes?

My clothes

THINK,

Lia.
