First Teaser Out Of Badshah Begum, Features Zara Noor Abbas as Jahan Ara

It’s been noticed that recently our entertainment industry is more producing women-centric narratives. If the reason is to make society great and positive for women, then The Viral Cat supports the cause.

In our society, we knew that the female gender has been mostly shown as a weak and submissive side character in a man’s life, now we get to see women breaking all the stereotypes in Badshah Begum. The first teaser of the drama shows that Zara Noor Abbas aka Jahan Ara looks like a story of yet another strong female character.

It’s a narrative of a strong woman who’s ready to take her throne. Taking to Instagram, Zara Noor Abbas has shared the teaser along with a caption stating that women are not someone’s property. Before this, she also shared a poster of the drama Badshah Begum.

Zara’s outfit is like a regal one and has a straight face throughout the teaser, yet, she’s presenting the symbol of power, she is shown pulling a sword out of its sheath and taking the throne.

Well, it looks like we’ll be going to witness the Pakistani version of “Game of Thrones”.

Well, Jahan Ara declares in the clip that “honour is always associated with a woman and it’s always a woman who has to sacrifice. Maybe that’s why this throne needs only a woman”.

Badshah Begum has been written by Saji Gul and directed by Khizer Idrees. The cast also includes Yasir Hussain, Farhan Saeed, Ali Rehman, Komal Meer, and Shahzad Nawaz among several others.

The drama will air on HUM TV and is a collaboration between Momina Duraid Productions and Rafay Rashdi Productions.
