The Beginning

Hello to all,

Welcome to “The Way Back.”

Today’s world is busy. It can be bright, loud, chaotic, hectic, aggressive, and the list goes on. We have technology and resources that allow us to go further and do more than ever before. We know more about the vastness of outer space and more about the intricacies of human body cells, but are we getting out of touch with our human essence?

San Francisco, CA

We are dealing with global climate changes, an ever growing human population, environmental strains, and increasing demands placed on our personal lives. These demands cause increases of stress and tension on our own bodies, our minds, and our relationships.

With so many advances in technology and so little time, it is easy to turn to fast choices like hitting the drive thru for dinner or popping a pill for that headache. The busy demands of the day are exhausting and it is easy to skip exercising or socializing to zone out in front of the tv or computer.

Everything is at our fingertips…but health and connection slip away.

So let’s reconnect. Let’s find the way again. We all need time to step back and to notice the quiet, the tranquil, and the good.

My name is Emma Swartling. I am a senior chiropractic intern at Life Chiropractic College West. Originally from the beautiful Pacific Northwest, I moved to Bay Area to pursue becoming a doctor of chiropractic. Now, with less than a year until graduation, this three and a half year doctorate program has taught me not only what I need to know to be a present doctor, but also how to take better care of myself. I am looking forward to helping people reach their potential and to find their way back to health.
