You don’t need a website to start making money with affiliate marketing. I didn’t when I started. You only need an audience.

I am going to show what are the best affiliate programs for beginners without a website.

No, you don’t need a website.

What you do need to have is an audience.

So, before you start applying to all the affiliate programs that I am about to give you, first you must establish your online presence to gain an audience.

The Crucial Part of Affiliate Marketing

An audience is more crucial than having a website or platform because without an audience you will not succeed.

To succeed in affiliate marketing, you need sales, and the sales come from an engaged audience.

Not just any audience, but an engaged audience who reads your emails, buys your products using your links and shares your content.

Anyone with any type of platform (i.e. a link in bio, sales funnel, etc.) can start affiliate marketing.

I started earning my first affiliate sales here on Medium.

I didn’t have a website, but I did have followers here on the platform.

I had canceled my former website on WordPress because I couldn’t afford the hosting fees.

And, I knew that if I gave it a shot on platforms such as Medium, it might work for me.

And, it did.

Why Medium?

Medium already has an established audience of over 150 million monthly visitors every month.

The majority of those visitors come from search engines such as Google. I write sometimes here and I have noticed that my posts get indexed by search engines.

So, starting affiliate marketing on platforms like Medium is great for beginners when is done correctly.

5 Ways to Find an Audience

There are five ways to establish your online presence to find and gain an audience.

You can start writing on platforms such as Vocal Media or Medium if you like writing. Like I did.

You can start a YouTube channel and create faceless videos if you’re shy on camera.

You can start using social media such as TikTok or Instagram.

You can create faceless videos and posts. Also, you can automate your account using ManyChat.

You can start for free too.

Add a funnel on your bio URL page to have your followers and viewers subscribe to your email list. Entice them with a freebie.

You can use forums such as Reddit or Quora. Don’t add links directly it won’t work. Trust me I tried.

You add the link to your profile page. Give your audience advice, and connect with them when you’re asked a question.

You can also use platforms such as Twitch or Discord.

Final Thoughts

So, you want to start affiliate marketing and don’t have money to start a website.

It’s ok because you don’t need it.

You only need a platform with a massive and established audience such as YouTube, Medium, or Instagram if you’re using social media.

You first start building your presence online and get people to know you. As soon as they trust you, they will sign up to your email list.

As your email list grows, you can start nurturing them to take your freebies.

Then you can start applying for affiliate programs and start making money with affiliate links. Eventually, those subscribers will turn into customers.
