Which Countries are Eligible Merchants for the Printify Pop-Up Store

Printify Pop-Up Store is still in the beta phase. So, still new. Eventually, the Printify Pop-Up program will expand to more countries and add more features, I hope.

How Does the Printify Pop-Up Store Pay You

Printify pays you once a month via PayPal. You must enter your tax information because 24% of the payouts will be withheld for tax reporting purposes.

For US resident merchants, there is a 24% tax rate (backup withholding). However, if a valid W-9 form has been submitted, the tax rate is reduced to 0%.

Merchants residing in other countries will have a 30% tax rate applied (backup withholding).

Does Printify Give You a Store?

Yes, your Printify Pop-Up Store will be your store. And, it will be a standalone store which means you’re responsible for bringing traffic to your site.

You will have to promote your store and products on social media, website content, and maybe ads. (affiliate link)

I recommend creating a business social media account for your store. And, in these accounts, you create reels (IG) or short videos on TikTok, Pinterest, and maybe Facebook.

You can create a Facebook business page for your store and grow your following. Add your store link on your Facebook page.

With TikTok, you create a business account, register your business, and once you’re approved you can get access to submit your store link.

Promote Your Pop-Up Store Using Beacons.AI

I use Beacons.AI for my link-in bio that way I have my website link, store link, opt-in form, and affiliate links all in one place. You can add multiple pages on Beacons.AI.

I have a menu page similar to a website.

If you don’t have a website, you will be able to with Beacons.AI soon. You can join their waiting list. It’s free to join Beacons.AI.

I added my Beacons link on TikTok and Instagram to promote my store.

Check out my TikTok. I registered my account as a business and I got approved, and now I have a website link and I don’t have 1000 followers.

I suggest ordering samples of the products taking lifestyle photos of your products and using them as mock-ups.

You can also use Envato for mockups. ( affiliate link)

With a paid subscription, you can get unlimited mock-ups for your products.

Printify will not promote your store for you. It’s not like Amazon, Etsy or eBay. Nothing like RedBubble or TeeSpring.

It’s more like a Shopify Store where you have to bring your own traffic.

It’s why is important for you to create SEO-optimized product descriptions with specific targeted keywords. That way, your product will be found.

How to Create a Pop-Up Store on Printify

It’s very easy to create a pop-up store on Printify. I did it for my site. I just opened an account with Printify which is free.

The steps I am going to give you are easy to follow and straight to the point. So, let’s get started.

*Disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links at no additional cost to you. I only recommend products I would use myself; all opinions expressed here are mine. In addition, I may earn a small commission.

  1. Go to Printify and click on the “sign-up” button to create a free account. If you already have an account with Printify, then ignore this step and move to step 3.

2. Create your free account and answer a few questions.

3. When you complete the signup, you will directed to your Printify dashboard. Here is where you are going to choose your channel, set up your store, choose the products you want to sell, create your products, and finally you will launch your products.

4. Start by going to your dashboard left-side menu and select “My New Store”. Click “Add a new store”.

5. Next, you’re going to choose your channel. Select Printify Pop-Up Store in two ways. See the screenshot below. Either one works.

6. After you select your channel, you’re then directed to enter your store details. You will choose your store name (must be unique because it will be your URL). Printify will give you a domain name for your store.

Your store name URL (domain) will look something like this: mystorename.printify.me. As of now, we cannot customize or use a custom domain.

Unless, you want to use a third-party channel such as Etsy, Ebay, TikTok, Shopify, etc. Those are not free and you will have fulfillment fees.

7. Choose your theme for your store. As of now, there are only 5 available themes to choose from. Choose the one that mostly relates to your style or idea you want for your branding.

You can create a store logo using Kittl or Canva to make it look unique. Once you have your logo you can upload it in the store information tab of your store settings menu. You can also add all your social media links.

I used the same logo of my website for my pop-up store so that is cohesive with my branding.

You can do the same for branding purposes which I will discuss later on.

8. Complete your store setup on your store setting tabs to finish. Once you’re finished with your store setup, you can then go to the products catalog to select the products you want to sell in your store.

9. On the left-hand side menu, click on “Catalog” to select the products you want to sell.

10. Choose your products and start designing. To get designs for your products, I recommend either Kittl or Creative Fabrica Studio. Both are free to use.

To get ideas of what to sell, I recommend going to ChatGPT to prompt for ideas or use a keyword research tool like Everbee. That way you will see what is selling in the market right now.

You can also use ChatGPT to create product descriptions for SEO purposes to help you get organic traffic.

11. Once you’re done designing your products, you can add them to your store by clicking publish or save them as a draft if you’re not ready to have them in your store.

In the product description section, you can edit and add the product description you got from ChatGPT (if you used it). You can always create your description. Make sure to include the main keyword of your product in the description box as well as in the title.

12. Choose your shipping method, variants, and pricing.

13. Click on “publish” to publish your products or click “Save as draft” if you want to save it for later when you’re ready to publish it in your store.

14. When you’re done with all your products and are published, completed your store settings, and submitted your payment info for future payouts, then you’re ready to launch your store.

Congratulations!

Here is my pop-up store that I created on Printify.

I added it as a webpage on my website and shared my store link on the webpage.

How much does it cost to open a Printify Store?

It’s 100% free! No fulfillment fees at all. Printify will take care of everything (except marketing and traffic).

Here is how it works:

You promote your products. Someone likes your product and buys your product. You just gain a new customer. Yay!

Your new customer just ordered your product directly from your pop-up store. The order goes directly to Printify. Printify fulfills the order and ships the item to the customer.

Branding Your Printify Store

Speaking of fulfillment orders, did you know that you can insert “Thank You” cards on each order that is made from your pop-up store?

You can for a small fee. Printify charges USD 0.15 per insert and USD 0.10 with Printify Premium.

It will only be charged whenever you get an order, same with the product, the rest is yours to keep.

For this, you can go to your dashboard click “Store Settings” in the left-hand side menu, and select the “Branding” tab.

You can edit your inserts as how you like for marketing your store. You can add your store logo and URL or any other link (such as opt-in or landing page) so that your customer doesn’t forget your store.

If you signed up for a free Beacons.AI account then add your link-in bio in your inserts. With Beacons.AI, you can have an opt-in form for subscribers for free.

These card inserts are perfect to help you promote your store outside of SEO. By inserting these cards, you’re promoting your store either through a newsletter, or website, and maybe using word-of-mouth referrals.

If you like you can also add an opt-in form link to your email marketing, that way you can keep your current customers as your subscribers on your list. You can notify them of new product launches, new blog posts, newsletter, etc.

Final Thoughts

So, if you ever wanted to start an online business for free without risking any money upfront, you now can with a Printify Pop-Up store.

There are no fees at all for this opportunity.

The only fees will be the card inserts for branding and marketing, but that is just optional.

In your card inserts, you can add an opt-in form link to add your customers as subscribers and you can notify them of any new product launch, blog posts, newsletter, etc.

It’s another way to bring in traffic to your store. Make sure to know SEO for your product descriptions is optimized for organic traffic.

Or pay for ads. Not a good idea when starting.

You will be responsible for marketing and bringing traffic to your store. There are so many ways to do so. As I mentioned, you can order samples and promote them on your business social media accounts.

Make short videos for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or Pinterest. Or, you can use unlimited mockups with Envato Place It with a paid subscription.

The downsides of a Printify Pop-Up store are the limitation of theme selection and also the limited countries this program is available.

Other than that, if you qualify you can start right away.

Best of luck in your business journey.
