Sticking Together to Support Young People into Employment
Wyatt is thrilled to be partnering with SYC to support their ‘Sticking Together’ Project through 2017/2018.
SYC, a national not-for-profit organisation providing employment, training and youth services, developed ‘Sticking Together’ as a youth post-placement coaching program to support young people through their first 60 weeks of employment. The program aims to address factors limiting work success by assisting participants to develop the employability and non-vocational skills to be able to ‘stick’ to employment.
In 2016 Wyatt supported the prototyping and co-design stages of the program, which saw the development of the relevant framework and metrics by SYC in conjunction with The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI).
This year’s funding facilitates the involvement of 20 young South Australians in the Adelaide pilot, ensuring that participants can access the required support to develop the non-vocational capabilities involved in gaining and sustaining employment.
