Hi, I am Ryan!
I am a Yarn lover like you and I have been crocheting and loving yarn for over 15 years.
I am a Youtuber and blogger who loves to share her yarn experience with you.
I am putting together this DIY blog on “how to fold crochet washcloths into flowers.”
So, let’s get started!
Things that you need:
- 3–5 Crochet Cotton Rounds.
- 2–3 Square washcloths in green(preferred).
- 3–4 colorful washcloths.
- Medium size bowl/basket.
- A handful of rubber bands.
Now, let us look at the steps:
Step1: Put your green square washcloths on a flat surface:
Now, pick it from the edges and put all of them together at the center:
Step2: Now, flip the washcloth upside down:
Again pick it from the edges and, put them all together:
Step3: Take the rubber bands:
Put them horizontally and vertically across the washcloth:
Step 4: Pick the washcloth from the other end and make it like a leaf, as shown below:
Step 5: Repeat step 1, 2 3, and 4 with the other wash clothes and place them on your bowl, as shown below:
Now we need to make our flowers and, there are a couple of ways to do this let me show you.
Step 6: Take two different colored cotton round and fold them together, as shown below:
Also, take a rubber band and put it at the end, so that the flower stays in shape:
And, here’s your first flower:
Step7: The second way to fold these in half:
Now, start rolling them on one another and, it will give you a bud as shown below:
Step 8: One more simple way is to have just folded a cotton round back and forth, put a rubber band to create a flower:
Step 9: Another way to create a flower is to take different color washcloths and, place them on one another:
Now, poke them from the bottom with your finger and grabbing from the bottom:
After this you will have a knot at the bottom and put a rubber band:
Here’s another flower:
Step 10: Take a colorful washcloth and put it on a flat surface:
Now, fold it like a triangle, but do not go all way, just leave some for a lift:
Step11: Start rolling your triangle, until it reaches the middle point:
When it reaches the middle point, then push it back :
Start rolling gain:
This will give you a rose and put a rubber band at the bottom to keep it in shape:
Now, you can try these steps to create as many rose flowers as you want, depending on the size of your bowl or basket.
Step12: Put down your leaves in a bowl, as shown below:
Start placing all your flowers into the bowl:
Step 13: There you have it! Your yarn flower bowl is ready:
I hope this helped you make a quick and easy guide to make flowers with crochet washcloths.
