At a low price of ~$2,500 apiece with only 300 items listed on OpenSea, it seems off to use the term ‘underrated’ … but compared to its neighbours, it definitely is.
Introduction
Released in July 2021, this collection of 10,000 unique NFTs has shown a steady and organic growth over the past few months to having about 5,600 unique wallets holders.
Amongst them, key figures (influencers, celebrities, streamers) like Alex Becker, Elliot Trades, Steve Aoki, JRNY Crypto, Sheldon Evans, and many more have joined the club. DPS has a vibrant community, with half of its holders owning at least one other blue chip NFT from BAYC, Cryptopunks, JRNY Club, Neo Tokyo, BAYC, and the likes… And their discord is quite the hang-out place! The core team behind the studio, has years and years of experience in the mobile gaming industry, and is well-connected in the NFT space.

Pipeline
1. Currently developing their acquired virtual lands. Recently, they did a 2 hour live presentation of the work in progress in NFT Worlds. Why is it underrated? Well, in our opinion…
Marketing
Their fast evolution does not exactly correlate with the spread of words through the outside community. The team is strong, but their efforts and achievements are only being noticed by its holders. Another possible issue is that, although DPS has one of the largest numbers of Twitter followers for an NFT project, it is currently nearly non-existent on Instagram, YouTube and Tiktok — three of the most used platforms.
DPS needs to get a few marketing, and videomaking experts under its wing and gear up on carefully scripted well-edited short videoclips. The clips could be about anything:- new perks, trip down memory lane, past achievements, roadmap, work in progress, time-lapse of game dev working, the doge pound shelter, best moment in the tournaments, etc…
In short, DPS has raised the benchmark several times, has done amazing work and has yet to stop doing so... They should start bragging about it. They’ve undoubtedly earned the right to do so.
The project is at that floor price, where a decent marketing campaign will propel it at least 2–3 stages forward. All this time, the project has been growing organically. Now is the time to use those rare candies.
The Newborn Whale
As one of the smaller fish in the ocean, you should pray that you come across a whale who:
(i) Achieved this status not just by pure luck.
(ii) Is composed and invested a small fraction of his total NFT portfolio into the project.
(iii) Believes in the project, and plays the long game.
It seems that one whale-looking creature with multiple wallets, who owns approximately 500 of such tokens in The Doge Pound NFT Collection, has been holding the floor down these past few months. Thankfully, a few weeks ago, the whale seems to have realised the harm done on the ecosystem and unlisted the vast majority of his NFTs. It is believed that the whale missed out on the diamond paws, as ‘not having any doge NFTs listed on OpenSea’ was one of the many requirements.
It is only a matter of time before this creature is harpooned down by 500 courageous doge warriors.
Utility
The NFT space is possibly the all-time best sponge in the world. More perks, more utilities, more benefits, more influencers, more celebrities, more partnerships — that’s what this space craves for.
Be bold. Imagine a world where holding a Doge Pound NFT meant that you get 1 free vet consultation per token per year. Or discounted pet food, pet grooming services, etc…
