Mullumbimby Mist

Mullumbimby Mist is a semi-autobiographical comic that explores colour as a trigger for memory and the experience of synesthesia.

Peter Pissant has done a commendable job of forgetting the first-world trauma of growing up with a funny name. When a blueish-green colour swatch triggers a series of twisted memories neatly stacked inside each other, Peter is forced to face his personal demons — dead birds and the ghosts of high school wankers.

Mullumbimby Mist explores how character viewpoint can be represented graphically through the use of colour and how colour can be imbued with meaning and metaphor.
