I’m Travis Thielen and This is How I Work
- Location: Duluth
- Current Gig: Studying Finance at Labovitz School of Business and Economics
- One word that describes how you work: efficient
What apps/software/tools can’t you live without? Why?
Microsoft office, Google apps, Google drive, dropbox, and apple music. I use Microsoft office and google apps nearly every single day for my school work, along with google drive quite a bit. I use drop box to save media on the cloud and apple music to keep me sane in my busy life
What’s your best time-saving shortcut/life hack?
I like to keep all my assignments or anything i have to do in my calendar app to avoid confusion, and save time trying to figure out what all I need to get done.
What everyday thing are you better at than everyone else? What’s your secret?
Having a great mood in the morning! I try to start everyday thinking about the positives that can come from it, and not just what I all have to do. I take twenty minutes in the morning for coffee and breakfast to mentally prepare me. It makes me feel accomplished and ready for anything the day throws at me.
What do you listen to while you work?
I deliver for Dominos so I have plenty of time to listen to different stations in my car during the work day. I usually prefer listening to my music or sports, but I also enjoy listening to different talk shows throughout the day
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
My father persuading me to go to college rather than start working for his company right after high school.
Where do you find inspiration and new ideas?
I absolutely love going ham-mocking in the beautiful different parks in Duluth, I feel like that when I do my best thinking.

What’s your favorite quote?
“Don’t count the days, make the days count”
