Don’t Blame the Rain

It comes down on all of us -

The saintly and the wicked

The naive and the sophisticated

The weary and the energetic

The short and the long sighted…

It drizzles, and it pours,

It puddles and it flows,

It covers the asphalt and the green,

Dripping from the leaves,

Cleaning the air, the dirt and

Filling up the lakes.

Slaking the thirsty plants

That dance happily in the downpour.
