The endless echo chamber of online “influencers” is robbing the Internet of its soul.

What is content marketing? Cheap, short, knock-off, nearly plagiarized content solely designed to draw viral sharing or eyeballs. It is typically devoid of actual, useful content; its teaches nothing to no one. It has a catchy headline, maybe a compelling summary, but the rest of it is typically pure shite. I was also guilty of this — spending hours upon hours generating these little bon-mots in order to draw people to my sites. I realized over the last month that I’d been living a lie: I thought to myself why am I doing this? Am I just simply contributing to the problem by putting up the same worthless “7 Tips To Make A Million This Year” education free content?

I realized that everything I need to post must EDUCATE in some way. I need to impart USEFUL knowledge, so that when the reader finishes the article, they will come away with something which makes them THINK, that makes a DIFFERENCE.

So I’ve decided to hold off posting anything unless it hits one of the above criteria. I’m no longer going to contribute to the decline of content on the internet.
