RPA HACKATHON KGISL
Hi everyone,i am going to share my experience about the RPA(Robotic Process Automation) hackathon which was conducted by the Uipath and Kgisl.
The hackathon was conducted on february 2 and 3.
It was my 8 th hackathon in my career.
We were a team consisting of three members including me,the team members are:
1.Thinnappan(me)
2.Devi shree
3.Sathya sree
The hackathon opening ceremony was started around 10 AM. Dr. Ashok Bakthavathsalam, Managing Director, KGiSL, Mr. Prassadh Shanmugam, CEO, KGISL-GSS,CEO and president of the Uipath india Mr. Raghunathan Subramanian,Mr. Tejus Venkatesh, RPA Evangelist, UiPath kicked of the opening ceremony.
Around 1500 students participated in the hackathon from various cities across the india.The participants were more enthusiastic and interested to discover new ideas and implementing into the RPA.
The Countdown begins it was a 36 hour hackathon.
We planned to split up the idea into four modules and work through the night.There were many mentors to help us in all the time.The mentors were from the KGISL GSS and also from the Uipath.
We worked along the night without any distractions, the mentors were available through the night,they helped us .
The judges were coming and monitoring our work progress through the night.The mentors suggested many improvements in our project.
The next day comes…. We were ready with our solution and we were preparing the presentation to be presented to explain our workflow.
There were two rounds to get selected in top 20 teams,we were ready to present the solution to the judges and we presented to the first judge and there were impressed and the second judge was also impressed with our solution.
Then we got a phone call from RPA team that we have got selected in top 20 teams.They asked us to get ready with our presentation and to present it before the jury panel members.There were two rounds to get selected in top 5 teams.
We presented the solution to the juries and we got selected to the final round among to 10 teams were selected to final round.From the final round only 5 teams will be awarded.We presented our final round also and we waited for the results.
Unfortunately we didn’t able to achieve top 5 places,we were in the 7th place in the hackathon.
Around 300+ teams participated and presented their ideas and solutions.It was a good learning experience to the students.
Hurah! we finally got placed in KGISL as they earlier said that we will provide offer letters to 100 students selected by the KGISL Hr team.It was a good opportunity to express our ideas and trying to implement it in RPA.
