I’m most likely to come off as skeptical (or worse, a pessimist) but I wonder how much of this is out of pure, moral conscientious character of the senior leaders. In most cases, it is usually to ensure the company/brand isn’t affected because of questions on diversity and inclusion. Like some obligation to be fulfilled to keep the business safe rather than saying, “This is the right thing to do and we should do it.”
