To draw you must close your eyes and sing
- Pablo Picasso

Imagine a world without art, Can you think about it?
Literature,drama,poetry,prose,dance,music,theater,drawing,painting,film making,architecture,ceramics and the list is endless…

Have you ever wondered, we all applaud ‘out of the box’ ideas and then we slowly formulate those into refined processes. Now one question should pop up in our head, from where these so called ‘out of the box’ and unique ideas come ?
You are guessing it right my dear friends i.e. From person’s creativity ,but from where this worm of creativity originates.

Giving you a bit of realistic touch, we have amazing instrumentalists, trained classical singers, bibliophiles, zumba & yoga enthusiasts, impeccable dancers, mesmerizing theater artists, vivid travelers, poets, painters, photographers and many other artists currently reading this blog and feeling a ignited spark in core of their heart with a smile on their face but I have a very small question for you. Do you pursue your passion ?
Please give me a lame excuse of your busy work schedule and corporate life
Let us keep it aside for a moment. Let me tell you a story.
‘ A kid started his journey from a remote village. He has a mission to try out every thing in this world. As he grew up being nerd like any other student in the class. Then one fine day,he read a few couplets from his Grandpa’s diary. He felt that words strike a chord of right notes within him and he feels much happier when he listens/reads some verses. He started penning down few of them, drew inspiration from his mother, political satires, nature, heartbreaks but he continued to write , that acted as source of positive energy for that little chap which got him a chance to get published in a book ,just three pages in an anthology .That passion also helped him winning first prize in UN center of Nepal & Bhutan’s Essay writing competition.
After exploring the literature part,he got a camera which his dad promised him if he gets the campus placement. He started going on morning walks, clicking birds, covering events, looking for that one perfect shot from a perfect angle. No big achievements but after covering a single event he was able to give twenty people nicer DP’s for their social media handles.
He polished his photography skills to shift to a new genre of being an ‘epicurean’ i.e. tasting various cuisines across this globe’

Poetry taught him flow of life,Photography imbibed him with patience & some fraction of inner peace as well, Epicurean life is teaching him life can be sweet, sour & bitter, just have some ice-cream whenever you feel low.

Let us move to second perspective:
You know what is biggest irony in our country. We don’t nurture actors but we want Oscars,we don’t support writers but we want Booker’s Prize, we don’t invest in painters but we desire for Turner’s Prize.
The two main reasons I am able to enlist why everyone of us stop nurturing artist inside us:
1. Fear of Parents,relatives & academics
2. Negative feedback from people which let your morale down.

Trust me I am not writing this blog asking you to quit your job, what i just want to appeal is that at least an hour daily dedicated to art form you love.

Sing your heart out,Play some melodious tunes,Dance like nobody is watching,Write like you are writing the best story in this universe,Click some amazing portraits,Act like the stage is all yours,Paint the canvas of world with your imagination

Art is the only serious thing in the world & Artist is only person who is never serious
-Oscar Wilde

Its not all about being artistic, its about little things that make you smile, the things which you do without keeping track of time, the things which complete you.
You can’t be M.F Hussain,Rabindranath Tagore,Walt Disney or Dan Brown in one day.Yes journey is bit long but nobody knows, one of you reading this after 25 years will be Standing in Hall of Fame & World’s gonna know your name.

Ladies & Gentlemen … FIND THE ARTIST IN YOU
