It isn’t an anecdote, it’s an example of the measurable situations arising from the Ferguson Effect.
Crack and cocaine are fundamentally different, one is expensive and less addictive, the other is cheap and hyper addictive. They should obviously have different sentencing because of their effects. They are not the same drug.
