I really enjoy James’ books. He inspired me without realizing — when I wrote my book I wrote in a very easy to understand conversational tone. I wanted it to feel like the reader was sitting on the sofa next to me talking with me. I got that from James. He’s come a long way from those days at HBO designing the Wu website.

I’ve stayed in urban music for 25 years, choosing to make a difference but I find myself at a crossroads of wanting to finally make money for myself instead of others. But I am a bit lost on how to do that…I find comfort in his books and his personal stories of how he has risen like the Phoenix out of the ashes. Kudos on 18 books, James, with visions of more! And thank you for your consistent inspiration from afar. You rock!!
