Also, they didn’t have automatic weapons back then. You couldn’t really take a front-loaded musket and shoot up a mall back then. So regardless of what we should do about gun control (I’m not sure yet), we do have to acknowledge the world has changed and any given individual does have the ability to kill many more people than they used to.
