The correlations you made here are so good. I made sure to share this with a guy I’m currently mentoring, as well as passed it on to my senior developer as a point of leverage for a conversation we’ve been having for months about moving to a new stack.
I also agree with what Mike Dudley said, soft skills are equally important to becoming a great developer. In fact, there are a lot of developers that are currently unemployed simply based on the fact that they are not capable of relating or communicating in an effective manner — this a huge problem with the education system though as there’s little emphasis put on that aspect.
