To add money to Venmo, you have several options depending on your specific circumstances. Here’s a breakdown of different methods:

Add Money To Venmo?

1. Open the Venmo app on your mobile device or visit the Venmo website on your computer.

2. Log in to your Venmo account using your username and password. If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to sign up for one first.

3. Once you’re logged in, you’ll be taken to the Venmo home screen. Look for the “☰” icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner of the screen and tap on it.

4. In the menu that appears, find and select the “Manage Balance” option.

5. On the Manage Balance screen, tap on the “Add Money” button. If you haven’t linked a bank account or card to your Venmo account yet, you’ll need to do that first by tapping on the “Add Bank or Card” option.

6. Enter the amount of money you want to add to your Venmo account. You can either type in the amount or use the “+” and “-” buttons to adjust it.

7. Choose the funding source for the money you’re adding. You can select a linked bank account or card that you’ve already added to your Venmo account.

8. After selecting the funding source, you may be prompted to provide any additional details or confirm the transaction.

9. Review the transaction details and make sure everything is correct, including the amount and funding source.

10. Once you’ve reviewed the details, tap on the “Add” or “Confirm” button to proceed with the transaction.

11. Depending on the funding source you selected, the money will be deducted from your bank account or charged to your card, and the amount will be added to your Venmo balance.

Please note that Venmo may charge fees for certain transactions, such as credit card payments or instant transfers. Make sure to review the fee information provided by Venmo before completing the transaction.

Add money to Venmo from a credit card:

Venmo doesn’t allow direct transfers from credit cards. You can link your credit card to your Venmo account, but it will only be used as a backup funding source if your Venmo balance is insufficient. However, note that credit card transactions may incur additional fees.

Add money to Venmo without a bank account:

Venmo requires a linked bank account or card to add money to your account. If you don’t have a bank account, you can use a prepaid card or link a card issued by a credit card company.

Add money to Venmo from a prepaid card:

You can link a prepaid card to your Venmo account and transfer funds from the prepaid card to your Venmo balance. Note that some prepaid cards may have restrictions or fees associated with transferring funds.

Add money to Venmo from PayPal:

As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, you cannot directly add money from your PayPal account to Venmo or vice versa. While both platforms are owned by PayPal, they operate as separate entities. You would need to transfer funds from your PayPal account to your bank account and then add money to Venmo from your bank account.

Add money to Venmo at a store:

Venmo offers a feature called “Cash a Check” that allows you to deposit physical checks into your Venmo account balance using the Venmo app. This service is available at select retailers, and you can find the list of participating stores within the Venmo app.

Add money to Venmo from Cash App:

Currently, you cannot directly transfer money from Cash App to Venmo or vice versa. These platforms are separate and don’t have integration capabilities. To add money to Venmo, you would need to use one of the other methods mentioned above.

Add money to Venmo on a computer:

You can add money to Venmo using the Venmo website on your computer by logging into your account and following the instructions to link a bank account or card and initiate a transfer.

Add money to Venmo instantly:

Venmo offers an Instant Transfer feature that allows you to transfer funds instantly to your linked bank account for a fee. This option is available if you have a linked bank account and are eligible for Instant Transfer based on Venmo’s criteria.

Add money to Venmo on an iPhone:

The Venmo mobile app for iPhone allows you to add money to your account. You can link a bank account or card within the app and initiate a transfer to add funds.

Add money to Venmo with a debit card:

You can link a debit card to your Venmo account and transfer funds from the debit card to your Venmo balance. This option is available if your debit card is issued by a participating U.S. bank.

Add money to Venmo at Walgreens or Walmart:

As of my knowledge cutoff, Venmo does not have a specific feature allowing you to add money at Walgreens or Walmart. You can use the “Cash a Check” feature mentioned earlier to deposit checks at select retailers, but it doesn’t apply to adding cash.

Put money on the Venmo card at an ATM:

The Venmo card functions as a debit card linked to your Venmo account. You can add money to your Venmo card by transferring funds from your Venmo account balance. However, you cannot directly deposit cash onto the Venmo card at an ATM.

Please note that Venmo’s features and policies may change over time, so it’s always a good idea to refer to the official Venmo
