The dev teams for Angular Material and Angular are exploring/working on an important feature: animations with timelines. Using timelines to create complex choreographies of animations will level-up AngularJS apps in a major way.

In fact, some of our work is considering how to script the animations in HTML in an intuitive fashion. Here is a preview of thoughts using AngularJS and the Greensock Animation Platform (GSAP):
