I appreciate the story and pictures. This is something I knew about, but didn’t know quite the extent of it. However, you sound a little condescending of these people. In my opinion, if comfortable, middle class kids want to see the world and go where so few other Americans do, more power to them. I’m sure most wanted to get high, but I’d bet most wanted to learn about the world outside of America’a culteral confines. I’m glad they did.
