Recall the Declaration of Independence refers to “We the people” not we the corporations. Notice that in all their talk about free speech, nowhere do they mention free speech for corporations.

Under the GOP-majority SCOTUS “free speech” included money as speech and corporations who cannot vote were given the rights of individual voters by allowing unlimited, usually anonymous, campaign funding by the rich, rich corporations and rich special interests. Corporations no longer have to do backroom deals to bribe congressmen and state legislators, they can buy their influence by spending millions on campaign funding and false political ads and make it harder for the best-qualified, working class candidates to run for office.

The Citizens United ruling is likely the single worst and most democracy-corrupting SCOTUS decision ever since it impacts everybody and allows the rich to literally buy elections and political policies that favor their industries at the expense of workers, the public and the environment.

The GOP who have historically NEVER represented the working class are the true enemy of the people and mankind who have done more harm to America and have killed more innocents than terrorists.
