First, make sure that your printer is compatible with Canon’s Cloud Print service. To find out, connect your printer to your computer using the supplied USB cable. Once connected, open the Windows Start menu and type “Printers” (or Mac OS X System Preferences).

Click on the name of your printer in the list of printers. If the “Canon PIXMA MG Series” appears in this window as shown below, then it is compatible with Cloud Print.

Now that we’ve confirmed our printer’s compatibility, it’s time to set up our account with Canon’s Cloud Print service. To do this, click on the link for “Register Your Printer” found under “My Printer” in the Printers window shown above.

Enter your email address and password into the fields provided and click on “Register.” You will now be taken to a page where you can select which printers you want to connect to your account. As pictured below, our Canon MG3100 has been registered and is ready to use with Cloud Print.
