Ah, if you managed to get your head around Angular, I think you might find React a change for the better. I worked full-time with Angular for nearly two years, having kept an eye on React, but tried it hands-on only recently. It’s far more transparent and focused. React does one thing and does it well, whereas Angular does everything haphazardly. (Though Angular 2 is shaping up to be a lot better, and incidentally also more similar to React.) React also plays more nicely with TypeScript, since everything is just JavaScript (even JSX, in the end) and there are fewer magic syntaxes and conventions.
