In terms of organizing, Pantsuit Nation has 3 million politically astute members, and many local chapters, though I suspect the interest in the group is dwindling fast. My impression is that people are struggling to find effective action. I think we need to start thinking about both getting good candidates and getting people to vote in the mid-terms — it doesn’t hurt to sign petitions and try to stop Trump and so on — but the Dems really need to have a strategy moving forward. Only around 25 percent of the country actually voted for Trump, but unless we get people to vote the other way there is no one to block him. It seems to me Pantsuit Nation might be a place where people could connect to strategize and move forward.
