I have no idea how you managed to fabricate all of this nonsense from my comment, but nonsense it…
Brian Orner

You are so wrong about so much

You challenge people to read the Constitution, the writings of the framers, legal opinions, etc. but did you?

Proof that there is a Secular Progressive “war on Christmas” right from your own words…

“The first amendment confers freedom FROM religion, first, before it confers the free expression OF religion.”

How’d you get that from…

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech…”

You didn’t. Some Secular Progressive put that idea into your head. Even ignoring the context that this was written by Christians for an almost universally Christian audience, you can’t justify the “freedom FROM” argument because it is contained within the very same amendment that guarantees free speech and therefore the right to proselytize. The fact that the phrasing puts religious beliefs before speech is recognition that thought precedes speech if anything.

Pilgrims, Puritans and Huguenots escaped religious persecution in Europe not religion, so that argument is just dumb. As for “God given rights” -it’s clear you don’t have any understanding of the concept. God gave our species the capacity for language, therefore we ought not be denied use of that gift even if some would abuse it to spread lies.

Ours was a Christian nation at it’s founding, and still is. Not only do the majority of Americans identify as Christian, but our language is replete with biblical idioms, and our laws are universal and “set in stone.” (see what I did there?;)

You misunderstand your opposition

“As for Black Lives Matter, it should be clear that no organization should be defined by it’s worst exemplars…”

Oh like the Tea Party, Trumpeteers, Fox News, and Republicans? Yes I agree. But here’s what the organization stands for from their own website…

“We are committed to disrupting the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another…”

In other words Marxist communism with a side of Secular Progressive tribalism. Great! That’s gonna work out well.

“Should all police be blamed for the violence of a few bad apples?”

Uh, aren’t they? Isn’t that the whole point of identity politics? Not so nice when someone turns the firehose on you is it? Welcome to Birmingham brother. The Progressive movement sent us back in time to the 1960s only this time it’s not racial discrimination, it’s the Orwellian thought police.

And then you called me names

“Where Evangelicals call for religious purity, liberals call for religious diversity.” Well doesn’t that sound nice? It’s also totally false. Evangelicals don’t “call for” anything. They merely point out the folly of sin and offer a path to forgiveness, not outward forgiveness from society but inward forgiveness of oneself. It’s a powerful message of inner peace and outward tolerance that resonates at an individual level.

Progressives don’t call for religious diversity. They demand strict adherence to their agenda’s narrative through imposition of political correctness and virtue signaling. Hence David Marino’s observation that liberals require conservatives to “express socially acceptable viewpoints.” That’s not respect for free speech; that’s not tolerance. That’s hate.

Do I “hate” progressives for their manipulation and lies? No, but tolerance does not require obeisance. Do I hate blacks because I disagree with BLM? Nope. Do I hate immigrants because I expect them to follow the law? Certainly not! That’s hyperbolic vitriol and character assassination.

I don’t hate. I’m polite, I let people come to my school and say all kinds of idiotic tripe. I respect that others have developed viewpoints based on their unique experience that are different than mine and seek to understand. But I won’t kneel before tyrants.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
