There’s an assumption that if you’ve been blogging for a long time that you should have something to show for it: traffic; profile; a discernible career based on dramatic progression. What self-publishing has done has kept a creative flame alight. What I’ve seen a lot of recently is a renaissance in blogging and podcasting – fuelled in part in increasingly well-designed platforms meeting the needs of authors and responding to an increasingly crowded marketplace. That’s important too.
