It’s OK for a grown, mature man to not like chores and to avoid doing things he doesn’t like. Mature men still have likes and dislikes; this is not something you ever outgrow.

Negotiation is one mature way to avoid unpleasant tasks. For example, if you don’t like dishes and I don’t like vacuuming, we can negotiate and you do the vacuuming and I do the dishes. Win-win. Or, we can use delegation: we can agree to spend some of our household money on a house cleaner, and then neither of us have to do those particular chores. This is a fair, mature way to avoid unpleasant chores.

What makes a mature man different from a man-child is that if something has to be done and there’s no other way for it to happen, a mature man does what he has to do without moaning and complaining about it.
