Sublime came out looking sweet. And there’s a vim mode if your fingers just want to type vim keyboard commands, as mine do. And a very rich array of plugins that are dead-easy to install and extremely useful, as compared to the vim plugins, which while there are a lot, they’re often hard to install and configure, and often have weird problems (perhaps due to combinations of them). My only qualm is that Sublime is not open-source software, but hey. The commercial guy here has the best product.
The bonus? If you use one of the vim plugins in Sublime, you still know how to do all the vim stuff when you’re on the terminal in some SSH session. You lose nothing, but you gain a whole lot.
