Tim is a product of New York City’s Silicon Alley, and has been proudly serving the Internet since 1996. He currently serves as the Chief Creative Officer of the Vice Digital Agency. He is also the founder of Universalscene, an art practice that explores the intersection of technology & popular culture.

Where in the world are you right now? Where will you be next?
I am currently back home is the West Village of New York City. Next stops include Miami, Paris, Barcelona, and Majorca.

What does “education” mean to you? How would you define it?
Education is something that never stops. Whether it is gained from life experiences or from a formalized institution.

Where do you think education is headed? Where will it be in 10 years? 100?
In ten years we will be able to download and ingest any information that has ever existed. In 100 years I am sure it will be something that is programmed into you on a genetic level during birth. That will most definitely come at a cost to the expecting parents.

Most frequently received (advice related) question?
From younger kids: How do you become a creative director?

From industry folks: What is it like to be the Chief Creative Officer at a Vice owned agency?

Why did you join th-oughts?
I believe in Benjamin, and have been a fan of his online presence dating back to THE BRILLIANCE. I also have hope for the future of education through open lines of communication and sharing.
